As trustees of Castle Hill Baptist Church we are committed to:
- facilitating the building of God’s kingdom in this generation
- discerning God’s will and spiritually feeding the fellowship at Castle Hill
- serving the fellowship, especially the needy
- assisting and supporting our pastor
- inspiring a new generation of leaders
- ensuring that everyone in the fellowship has a right to be heard on matters of faith
- ensuring our collective decisions do not lord over, burden or create barriers for the fellowship to live out their faith
If you have an idea or concern which you would like the deacons to discuss, please use the Feedback form. The matter will then be included on the agenda at our next meeting. We will appoint a deacon to provide feedback to you, if you leave contact details.
I have been attending Castle Hill since moving to Warwick with my wife Sarah in 2002. Prior to this I was a member of a large city centre church in Leicester where I ran a home group with Sarah and sat on the PCC.
During my time at Castle Hill I have been involved in the music group, sound team and I have helped lead youth work.
Our family has grown and now includes three children. I currently work as a teacher at a local school and I am also a senior examiner for one of the examination boards.
A member of Warwick Baptist Church all my life, I am currently a teacher of Philosophy and a Life Coach (www.powerchange.com). I spent many years as a missionary in South America in community development and training (bmsworldmission.org) and more recently was a trainer of clergy in the UK. I love to learn, and am currently studying nlp & Positive Psychology. I am particularly interested in what things mean to people and how to make people’s lives happier. I am involved with Human Rights & Environmental Groups. I am married with two grown up children.
I was born in Hong Kong and came to the UK to study at a boarding school when I was 13. I came from 3 generations of a Christian family in HK but did not return to our faith until much more recently when I was baptised at Castle Hill in 2012. I am a chartered architect and also a practising solicitor. I hope to use my skills and knowledge to support and enhance the leadership of Castle Hill and to relay God’s message to others and encourage them with my own experience.
My wife, Diane, and I have been part of the church at Castle Hill since our move here in 2003. Diane is a nurse, and I am self employed as a consultant in the construction industry. We have two daughters, Stephanie and Sophie. I have responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of the property.
I have attended Castle Hill since 2000 when I moved back to Warwick where I was brought up. I work in the NHS as a midwife, and have clocked up nearly 20 years. I have 2 grown up children and recently became a grandmother for the first time. I feel that in recent years I have progressed on my Christian journey and that I am now ready to take a more active part in church life.
I have been part of Castle Hill Baptist Church since 2001 when I started attending with Andrew, my husband and two children. My life revolves around them and serving the local community. I am keen to support young mums so began Tiddlers Mother and Baby Group nine years ago and continue to lead it. Prayer ministry is one of my main focuses, and currently I lead the Prayer Team and am involved with The Well Christian Healing Centre. Andrew and I run the Christianity Explored Course.
I am a retired government officer with a personnel and finance background and have been associated with Castle Hill since 1953. I am married to Margo, with two grown up children and two grandchildren. Outside the fellowship we are committed to helping the ministry of the Highway Trust through the activities sponsored by Thornleigh Christian Hotel and Thornleigh Travel.
Colin and I attended Gillingham Baptist Church for 35 years, where I was captain of a large Girl’s Brigade Company and served on BMS general committee. We moved to Warwick in 2007 and quickly settled at Castle Hill becoming Members in 2008. Currently I am involved with Tuesday Together and one of the leaders of the Craft Morning as well as one of the church reps for Churches Together. I have 2 grown up children (Gary and Fiona) and 2 very energetic grandsons. I count it a privilege to be part of such a caring fellowship where God’s word is Faithfully preached.
I am a retired Local Government Officer and have been attending Castle Hill since 1985. I am married to Heather and we have two children. I am the Treasurer of Noah’s Ark Christian Preschool and I also lead one of the Church’s house groups.
Since moving to the area in 1990 I have been worshipping at Castle Hill. I became a deacon in 1992. In addition to being a deacon I am treasurer for 95 fM (for Mission), treasurer for Gateway café, part of the prayer team and the audio visual team.
Having retired early from banking I have time to serve the wider Baptist family as a Trustee of the Baptist Union, a Trustee of the Baptist Pension Scheme, Trustee and Treasurer of the Heart of England Baptist Association and Chair of the Baptist Building Fund.
To fill in my time I also work part time by taking people on holiday as a tour manager with Great Rail Journeys.
I became a Christian at university and I came to worship at Castle Hill with my family (my husband, Chris, and my children, Catherine & David) when we moved to Warwick in 1999. I am now the church’s administrator, and I am also involved in Gateway, in the work with children, and in running a house group. I took early retirement from teaching, and much of my time is devoted to my family. I enjoy reading, sewing and cooking.
