Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Light Party? — a place providing children and families with a Christian alternative to Hallowe’en. Here’s the plan for this year:
• 4.00pm Craft activities
• 4.45pm Pass the parcel
• 4.55pm Short talk, songs and prayer, followed by disco
• 5.20pm Party food
• 6.00pm End of party

Who’s it for? It’s aimed at families with primary school aged children or younger, but all are welcome – including older siblings.

Is there a charge? Nope — this is a free event.

Can we just drop in? We’d encourage you to arrive around 4pm to take part in all the activities as we have to pack things away to make room for more fun and we don’t want your children to miss out!

Can I just drop my child off? No, all children must be accompanied by an adult and you’re responsible for your own child at all times.

Where is it held? It takes place in the Church Hall near the bottom of Gerrard Street, CV34 4HD, which is just off Smith Street, and not in the church building itself.

Where shall I park? There’s very little on Gerrard Street – the nearest parking is on Smith Street, at Priory Road car park and St Nicholas Park car park. For more parking information, click here.

Do I need to bring anything? No but do come dressed in bright clothing (no Hallowe’en costumes please).

What about allergies/special dietary requirements? We will do our best to cater for those with allergies and special dietary requirements – please let us know when booking.

Can I take photos or videos? Please only take photos or videos of those in your care. Pictures and/or videos should not be uploaded to social media if they have any other children in them. We may take photos for Church publicity purposes but if you’d prefer us not to take photographs of you or members of your family, please let us know.
