Gateway café is now closed.
The Gateway Cafe has been run by David and Jennifer Ho for many years on a Saturday, serving our local community with a practical demonstration of God’s love. Supported by a loyal team of volunteers from the church and the amazing Gateway Committee it has done some great work.
In July 2024, David and Jennifer stepped down from the leadership and the cafe is not open at this time. Thank you so much to all those who have visited or been regulars over the years — you’ve been a fantastic support!
The church will continue to pray about how we can best use this space to serve the community. Should you have an idea, or wish to discuss hiring the space, please use our contact us form.

Meet ‘n’ Eat — a fortnightly space for friends to socialise and enjoy a freshly cooked two-course meal for only £5! Booking is a must.
The café is part of Castle Hill Baptist Church, located at the top of Smith Street (opposite Eastgate). It has quite a history involving a runaway tram and being a pub!
