Gateway café exists to… It’s been serving the local community since xxxx. Open every Saturday from 9.30am to 3.30pm all are welcome at our community café.
During the lockdown of 2021 we refurbished Gateway adding a new soft-seating area, better shaped tables and a fresh coat of paint! We reopened on Saturday 22nd May with a new menu [insert] and loved seeing old friends once again. We look forward to being a continuing presence in our community.
The café is part of Castle Hill Baptist Church, located at the top of Smith Street (opposite Eastgate), and is staffed by volunteers serving hot and cold drinks, a variety of tasty food and fresh cakes. All our tea and coffee is Fairtrade and our food is ‘home made’.
The rest of the week…
Although we’re not open to the general public we continue to serve our local community through:
Seniors’ Lunches — a monthly space for our senior friends to socialise and enjoy a freshly cooked three-course meal.
Soup Kitchen — partnering two days a week with Helping Hands Community Project Leamington, we provide a space for them to prepare the food for our homeless friends.
