Prayer is vital. Prayer makes a difference. Prayer changes lives.
Never stop praying. Be ready for anything by praying and being thankful. Also pray for us. Pray that God will give us an opportunity to tell people his message. Colossians 4:2-3 NLT
Prayer is an important part of our church life. We therefore want to commit to praying one hour every day throughout 2019 for God to transform lives in Warwick and our areas of influence.
We have chosen three specific areas of focus:
- For God’s salvation of people
- For God’s kingdom to come
- For each other in our fellowship
We hope everyone, including those under 18, will feel able to participate and sign up to commit to praying for a total of one hour on four or five days throughout the year. This is not all in one go but can be spread across the day. House groups could also make this part of their yearly pattern, committing to pray for one or more session.
We plan to schedule various prayer events throughout the year, to keep this project at the fore of our collective and individual lives.
A leaflet is currently being designed and various other resources will be posted on this page by the start of January.
Questions and Ideas
Clare Howden is leading this project. Please chat with her if you have any extra resources, ideas or questions. We’d love to hear from you. If you’d like to run an event, please also get in touch.
We’d also love to hear about any answers to prayer, pictures or words received, or anything else you feel relevant that God may be saying. Encouraging and sharing with one another is key to our collective momentum and discernment!
