Quick Overview

On a Sunday morning we open our building from 10am ready for worship starting at 10.30am. An eclectic group of adults, young people and children gather to worship (approx. 70 in person and 10 more online). Worship lasts up to 1h 30m with many staying around afterwards to catch up with one another and make new friendships. We love Jesus and do what we do in response to his amazing love and grace as revealed in the Scriptures. We long for others to also encounter Jesus, follow him and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

We value all ages and seek to reflect this in our gatherings by mixing traditional and modern elements. Our Sunday Worship is relaxed in nature — just come as you are; we also have four groups for U18s: Ground Breakers (age 2.5 to Year 1), XStream (Y2-6), AYP! (Y7-13) and Youth Cafe (Y10-13). Our desire is to help all ages learn to use their gifts to bless others on their frontlines (where we mix with non-believers) and in our gatherings. Our building is accessible but parking can be ‘fun’ so do click here for more info on both.

NB Over Christmas/Summer holidays our children and young people’s groups stop to give our leaders a well-earned break! Children are still welcome to worship.

Over the month we also have a selection of different activities for most ages, both serving the local community and supporting our walk with Jesus. Every Monday Home From Home offers a place to socialise or just ‘be’ and our hybrid prayer meeting gathers every Thursday. We have a monthly connect groups: CAMEO on a Tuesday, Craft Club and Catalyst Youth on a Friday. Alongside all this, our Baby Basics centre serves the local community twice a week. House Groups also meet fortnightly / monthly offering mutual pastoral support and encouragement through fellowship, prayer and Bible study. For more info follow the links, explore our website or get in touch.

We also recognise our part in God’s mission to the world by supporting missionaries through BMS World Mission alongside praying for other international mission agencies. We also partner with local mission projects, such as Thrive Youth Ministries, Crossteach, Foodbank and CAP as well as run our own Home Mission Projects — such as Baby Basics. We are committed to being a Eco-Church, taking the call to creation stewardship seriously, as well as praying for the Persecuted Church and our broken world, as well as financially supporting other mission projects. For more about our mission partners, see here.

What are we about?

In April 2022, the Members agreed a new mission and vision statement.

Our mission is: To grow followers of Jesus, who make followers, transforming lives with the good news of Jesus.

We realise trying to live in Kingdom ways (Matt 6:33) in our world is not easy so we seek to be like family, prioritising relationships—caring for one another, sharing from one generation to the next (Psalm 145:3-4) and encouraging each other in our walk with Jesus.

Our five-year vision is: To be a beacon of hope in Warwick and beyond.

We believe Jesus is the hope all people need (Rom 15.13; 1 Tim 1:1) and want to see new people reached for Christ (Titus 2:11). Whilst it is the Holy Spirit who convicts and converts (John 16:7-11), we recognise we each have responsibility to GO to be where people are (Matt 28:18-20)—getting involved with our local communities—as well as inviting them to events in the home of CHBC.

As we continue on this journey of stepping into this vision—we are committed to praying and discerning what this all means in practice. We have made a long-term commitment to secure and develop our youth work to be fit for the 21st century in partnership with Thrive.
