NB All our leaders are checked and trained in line with our safeguarding policy and procedures.
Sunday Morning Groups
We run two groups aimed at helping our young people to grow in their faith, have some fun and build new friendships. Both happen during morning worship and finish by 12pm.
AYP! is a group for Years 7-9+ that meets every Sunday in our Church Cafe.
Youth Café is for those in Years 10-13. It meets twice a month on a Sunday during morning worship in The Craftsman on Smith Street.
On the first Sunday of each month we all stay in together for a time of joint worship. Those who are willing are encouraged to use their gifts including being part of the band or serve in other ways.
Whilst some young people stay in the groups until they’re 18, others are sometimes ready to get more involved in the main gathering. To help them grow in their walk with Jesus, we encourage all our young people to be open to using their gifts in some capacity, i.e., on the sound/vision desk, playing/singing in the worship band, helping with the children’s work, joining the welcome team…
To be clear, they are still welcome in groups but we don’t want them to fall away if this is no longer meeting their need. For example, those in Y10 might still attend AYP on the week the Youth Cafe doesn’t run, others may want to stay with the adults. Do talk to our leaders about what would help your child the most.
1-2-1 Mentoring We also realise there is a place to offer our older teens individual mentoring as they wrestle with modern life and faith in school and college settings. If you think this might be beneficial to your child, even if just for a season, do chat to us and we can explain how this might work.

Below is the current programme and dates for autumn 2026. The church fund the drinks for the young people but you’re welcome to offset the costs by making an offering in the box near the sliding doors in the main church building.
FRIDAY YOUTH CLUB — CATALYST
Once a month Lindsey and her team run CATALYST, a social space for our young people to hang out together. All our young people are welcome to come along and invite their friends too! The location of sessions varies between our church hall (Gerrard Street) and the main church building depending upon the activity (film nights, BBQs, table-top games…).
If you’d like to come along (and you’ve not come to one of our youth groups already), please get your parent/guardian to complete a consent form. Then drop us an email to let us know you’re planning on coming so we can make sure you come to the right building: youthwork@warwickbaptists.org.uk

OTHER YOUTH EVENTS
Across Warwick we partner with other churches to ensure our young people feel connected with others their age in other churches. This includes attending Thrive’s Base (a one evening worship event), Warwick Youth Worship Evenings (led by the young people), and Thrive’s Base Camp (a worship and activity weekend away at the Pioneer Centre in Shropshire).
Those who have gone have always been encouraged in their faith and buoyed by seeing the number of other young people from other churches around Warwickshire. To find out more, do chat to our youth leaders.
DEVELOPING OUR YOUTH WORK
As a church, we are pleased to partner with Thrive Youth Ministries to support us in developing our youth work for the 21st century. We have a small group (Thrive Manifesto Coordinating Group) who convene monthly to strategise and help the fellowship focus on this as a priority. We know it takes the whole church family to grow a young person and so we seek to get people involved in praying, participating and/or promoting each event that we put on to help our young people invite their not-yet-believing friends.
In the past we’ve run film nights, pizza and games lunches, and partnered to use the Thrive Youth Bus as ways of building relationships. All have been really positively received by the young people and their friends. We are keen all these events are shaped by our young people so we are always open to hearing new ideas or feedback.
SUPPORTING YOU AS PARENTS/CARERS
We realise raising a young person involves a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences! None of us have all the answers (if any!) but we want you to know we’re here for you. So if you need to chat about some of the challenges you’re facing, whether practical or about raising your child in the faith, please get in touch with Rev Kevin (kevin@warwickbaptists.org.uk) and we can work to put some support in place. Please don’t struggle alone…
