Youth Work

Youth Work

Sunday morning groups

AYP! is a group for Year 7-13 that meets every Sunday during morning worship to help them grow in their faith and build new friendships.

YOUTH CAFÉ

For those in Year 10 and above, we offer an enhanced couple of Sunday morning sessions at the local cafe, the Craftsman on Smith Street. It runs during our morning worship (like the other children’s and youth work groups) and we even pay for their drink! If you child is not ready for this group, they’re still welcome to remain with AYP! in the church café. Below is the current programme of dates.

FRIDAY YOUTH CLUB

Developing our youth work

As a church, we are pleased to partner with Thrive Youth Ministries who are supporting us in developing our youth work for the 21st century. We have a small group (Thrive Manifesto Coordinating Group) who help the fellowship focused on this as a priority. We know this involves the whole church family and so seek to get people involved in praying, participating and/or promoting each event that we put on to help our young people invite their not-yet-believing friends.

Recently, we’ve run a film night, games night and used the Thrive Youth bus as ways of building relationships. All have been really positively received by the young people and their friends. We are keen all these events are shaped by our young people so we are always open to hearing new ideas or feedback.

Base Camp

As part of supporting our young people, we take a group away to Thrive’s annual Base Camp weekend (Jan) and their one day local version (Sept). Those who have gone have always been encouraged in their faith and boyd by seeing the number of other young people from other churches around Warwickshire. To find out more, do chat to our youth leaders.
