Stir Up Sunday 2021

Stir Up Sunday 2021

Christmas is Coming…
Ready, Steady, Cook?

Why not join us for a community Christmas pudding making experience on Sunday 21st November, 3.30pm—6.30pm.

You can share in the fun of making this festive treat at this family-friendly event. With music and craft there is something for everyone!

Suitable for all ages — why not get your Christmas hats out of the loft to bring some seasonal cheer. What isn’t there to like??! To find out more, keep scrolling down… If you want to go direct to sign up, click here.

How does this work?

Our aim is to make a fun relaxed community atmosphere as we prepare for Christmas. We also want to remove the bulk of the stress of you getting the ingredients together, so we’re providing them for you 🙂

All we need you to do is complete the form below by Friday 19th November choosing your arrival time for Sunday 21st November (this is to allow for social distancing wherever practicable). You will need to bring your own large mixing bowl and spoon for mixing.

what does it cost?

Whilst the cost of the ingredients and basin is £6, we’re suggesting a donation of £7+ per pudding (each pudding feeds approx. 8 people). As a church, we are keen to raise money for those less privileged than we are so all the extra money will be split between two charities. However, if you or someone you know is struggling financially, but would be blessed by this event, then please still sign-up—we trust you to select the level of financial donation you can realistically afford.

Who are these charities?

Anything you give over £6 will be split between: our international charity Christian Aid’s Christmas Appeal, working in South Sudan to support mum’s forced to make impossible decisions due to the climate chaos. Adut had to give her three children dirty water. She knew it wasn’t safe, but she had no choice. Your gifts can change that… And our local charity CrossTeach, helping teach the Christian faith in schools. We hope you’ll give as much as you can.

I’m in! What happens next?

1. Sign up below — choose your arrival time (between 3.30-6.00pm) and have a debit card at hand
2. Confirmation email — you’ll receive an email from us confirming we’ve got your registration form (do check your spam/junk as we sometimes get sorted into the wrong folder)
3. Don’t forget — to bring your Christmas hat, a mixing bowl and spoon (per pudding). If you have a red pudding basin from a previous year, please do bring it so it can be reused!
