As with previous years, we hope you will help us support the AMEN Trust Shoebox Appeal. Each shoebox is a beacon of hope to those families who need them most in the poorest communities in Romania. The AMEN Trust and their partners ensure these boxes reach people they are already working with. Can you help send a box of hope this Christmas?
How does it work?
Simple – download and print the leaflet here (or grab one in the church building) and follow the instructions packing items listed, and praying over your box as you pack. Please bring your completed box to our main building (CV34 4EX) by Sunday 9th November at the latest and place on the platform. Any donation towards the transport costs can be handed to Pauline Stutton or Vicki Riordan directly or stuck to the leaflet and attached as explained on the leaflet.
I don’t have a shoebox
No problem, let Vicki or Pauline know and we can source you one or more. OR why not drop into a local shoe shop, explain what you’re doing and see if they have any spares. We’ve found them quite supportive! You can also use boxes which are a similar size, perhaps recycling that latest box from Amazon!
I don’t come to CHBC, can I be involved?
Yes, of course! Follow the instruction above and then arrange to drop off any shoeboxes to the church building. Generally, we are open on Mondays 12:30 – 3 pm, Thursdays 10:30 – 11 am and Sundays 10 -10:30 am and 12 – 1 pm. Please contact us to arrange the drop off.
I’ve still got questions
Please chat with Pauline Stutton or Vicki Riordan. If you don’t know them, please contact us and we can put you in touch.
