I grew up in a non-Christian family but started going to Shirley Baptist Church with a friend at the age of 14 years and was part of the youth group there. After starting university, I gave my life to Jesus after attending a Billy Graham Rally at Watford FC in 1983. I was baptised shortly afterwards.
I am married to Paul who I met in my final year at university, and we have one adult son, Jack. Neither Paul nor Jack are Christians, but I keep praying for them and the rest of my family.
Within the fellowship, I’ve had several roles over the years, but I am currently Deputy Safeguarding Lead; a member of the prayer team, and more recently have taken on the role as a leader with our Home from Home project.
I am a member of the WOW group and Lodge house group and find the support within these small group beneficial particularly for prayer and pastoral
support. I’m also fortunate to have a very dear prayer partner and we meet once/week to pray together.
