As we think about developing our work amongst young people, the coordinating group would love to hear your thoughts on the following question:

What would you love to see happen for the young people in our church and town if there were no barriers?

Your thought may be specific (e.g., a youth group every evening) or may be more abstract (e.g., hearts on fire). Either way, scroll down to post your thoughts below…

I would love to see our children and young people feeling at home in the church family, to be showing us how to worship in our music and the way we live our lives centred on Jesus and the joy of our salvation

I would like to see the young people in the church given the opportunity to take a fuller adult part in the Sunday Gatherings. Such as leading prayers, reading the notices, even giving a short talk, testimony, interview (them being interviewed or them interviewing someone else), introducing worship songs, art work, recording video to be shown. All these opportunities use the giftings the Lord has given young people and help them grow in the Faith. and to do this as themselves and equals not just labelled as “the young people”.
I’m profoundly grateful to the leaders of the church where I was a teenager who gave us opportunities and encouragement.

That the young people would feel comfortable sharing about going to Church in the first instance and then able to share their faith as they grow as Christians without feeling uncomfortable. That God will raise up the right teachers/leaders to enable the young people to know about Jesus and to enable enough leaders and space for the young people to meet and grow.
